The statistical model anticipated a considerably more active night at the plate for the home side, projecting a 6-4 Chicago victory. To its credit, the model roughly captured Miami's baseline output, forecasting four runs compared to the three the Marlins ultimately produced. However, it significantly overestimated Chicago's bats, expecting six runs from a lineup that generated just two.
